After a slow professional start, Kerr won her first professional LPGA event in 2002 (Longs Drug Challenge). Just two short years later, she became one of the leading players on the tour, winning three tournaments and ranking 5th on the money list. Although she has not won a major to date - her best finish a T2nd at the 2000 U.S. Women’s Open - she does have seven LPGA tour wins. Her putting and iron play being the key to her success, Kerr was ranked second in LPGA scoring (Annika Sorenstam was 1st) in 2005, finishing in the Top 10 of her entered tournaments.A tournament record of -19 under par finish in the Franklin American Mortage Championship was her first win of 2006.
